Fred and I laughed for most of our Engagement session with Matt and Jessica. She is a breath of fresh air and lights up a room when she enters it. Matthew is the quieter of the two and he compliments her beautifully. It is evident that they are head over heels in love by the way they talk, laugh and touch each other. They also have that magic that requires no words. I am pretty sure that when our mutual friend Andrea suggested that Jessica and Matthew ask us to be their wedding photographers, she knew in her heart that we were a match made in heaven.
Jessica and I laughed from the moment we shook hands and haven’t stopped since. Thank you Andrea for bringing these two into our lives. Our initial meeting was at Starbucks where I had spilled my Mocha Cookie Crumble on my white shirt prior to their arrival. I didn’t worry too much because Jessica was having wardrobe malfunctions herself and the beginning of our laughter and friendship began.
Fred had an opportunity to meet Matthew at a recent concert but had to wait to meet Jessica until our session and I must say I didn’t fully prepare him for my laughing buddy. Needless to say she had him laughing immediately and the banter between these two only added to the experience. We had a full day of locations planned around the city. We utilized the beauty of Loose Park, Nelson Atkins Museum, Liberty Memorial and The West Bottoms. Multiple clothing changes left no time for a sit down lunch, so Quik Trip corn dogs, taquitos and pretzels became our choice of nourishment for the day. These two rocked their session as we mixed in culture with nature and urban settings. We ended the day with Jessica’s adorable children joining us. I have to say we were all exhausted but what a FANTASTIC day with our new friends. Jessica and Matthew, you blew us away with your humor, love and romance. You are a stunning couple and we are so excited to be a part of your November wedding and can’t wait to capture all the beauty, laughter and emotions of the day. We are blessed to have you both as well as Keegan and Finley in our lives. Love Fred and Debbie
